This is Why We Fight
I just finished thwarting Rylie, who has been an unbearable asshat with his temper-tantrum derived case of pica. I am feeling extremely smug, especially because he woke me up this morning with biting and the threat of chewing my fitbit base's cord. He's also been after my laptop power cord lately. He's adorable, but he's a total asshole.

I should really start updating Rylie & Liz again.

On a completely different and subject referential note, I saw The Decemberists in concert on Wednesday! The show was completely amazing, despite the swimmer's itch that apparently abounds in Green Lake, at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Kresge Auditorium is amazing. It's open air, so the lake is visible from most of the seats. I'm sure it's the perfect place for summer, because a nice breeze can blow through, too. Finally, the most appealing thing to me, it's a smaller venue (WELL, smaller than The Palace of Auburn Hills, which I freaking hate.) I would definitely go to a concert there again.

Both bands played great sets (The Head and the Heart opened). I hardly noticed I missed some of my favourite songs ("The Engine Driver," "Sons and Daughers," "Annan Water") because I had such a great time. Colin Meloy is not only a singer, but apparently he's a comedian. We were regaled with tales of trespassing and using private property (a trampoline). We even heard the worst song Colin Meloy ever wrote, "Dracula's Daughter." I haven't been to very many concerts, but even if I had, I'm sure this would have topped my concert experience list. All of the band members were very entertaining, and the show's theatrics were fantastically fun. I would definitely go to another Decemberists concert. If I had the money, I would go to ALL of The Decemberists' concerts.

I have so many pictures of The Decemberists playing, and even two videos. They are all awful quality, because I only used my phone. Still, I'll tell everybody when I upload them, because then I'll share them with interested people.
